This senior-level course builds on several concepts students learn in earlier courses in the International Business program and focuses on their practical applications. In this course students receive instruction in key exporting tasks in a step-by-step process from initially identifying an export opportunity within the context of an overall business strategy to selecting a distributor to dealing with export regulations and logistics aspects through to completing an export transaction and receiving payment. The term report forms a significant element in the course since it provides the means by which students develop practical expertise in the exporting skills they are learning week by week as the course progresses.
