This course provides a comprehensive overview of techniques, approaches, materials and technologies used in creating green buildings and communities while also preparing students for the LEED Green Associate Exam. The need for a green transformation of our built environment will be described as well as the key components of the LEED rating systems and the overall LEED certificate process. The concepts and strategies that can be used to meet the requirements of the LEED rating system will be identified and students will learn how to determine the LEED rating system that applies to various types of green building projects.
