Value Stream Mapping is one of the first steps in applying the lean manufacturing concepts in an organization. Value Stream Mapping helps you visualize your current and future process/product flows and helps to identify and eliminate waste, link information and material flow, prioritize improvement strategies, and serve as a blueprint for lean implementation. Examples and case studies will be presented. Where possible, an actual map will be completed in a local company.
