The Groom One Certificate has been funded by horsemens&,#146, groups. It is designed to offer you an opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge to become a top-notch groom or caretaker of the equine athlete.

This Certificate program is comprised of four phases.

Phase One is an optional, two-day orientation session to teach hands-on skills for safety, horse handling and the daily routine of a newly employed groom, along with classroom sessions to teach horse health, disease prevention, first aid, risk management and licensing/employment issues.

Phase Two is an employment situation where the individual gains experience in the industry as a groom.
