3-day course: Intensive and in depth lectures and hands on training in roasting and cupping.

Location: Chilliwack, BC

9am - 5pm. Based on SCAA (Special Coffee Association of America) standards. Course certificate given to students. Professional handbook given to students. Students take home all coffee they roasted during the course. Lunch included.

Maximum 4 students.

DAY 1

Theory of cupping. Understanding cupping technique and terminology. Cupping different origins. We will talk about safety related to the coffee roasting machine.

DAY 2

Roasting Level 1: Understanding the cycle of the green bean from the farm, growing conditions and processing. How different green coffees influence roasting. Theory of coffee roasting. Cupping and intensive hands on roasting.

DAY 3

Advanced Roasting: Learn the technique of blending. Intensive hands on roasting to create different blends including espresso. Continuation of cupping.
