Instruction will include the operation, tune-up procedures and troubleshooting of electronic fuel injection systems. Hands on exercises will focus on the identification, location, and testing of electronically controlled diesel fuel system components. Hands on exercises will also focus on the use of hand-held and laptop test units to troubleshoot and diagnose failures of electronic diesel fuel injection systems.

The diesel technology program provides the student with an opportunity to master the skills and knowledge required for success in servicing and maintaining diesel powered highway trucks, off-road heavy equipment, stationary engines, and marine craft. The two-year curriculum has three tracts which lead to a Certificate of Achievement, and three tracts which lead to an Associate in Science degree. In addition, the diesel program offers the Certificate of Performance in ten specialty areas.
