Humber College Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning, in partnership with the Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario (ILCO) presents the Law Clerks program. The entire program is two years in length. Examinations will be written for the four parts, after completion of each course. It is strongly recommended that students have a minimum of three years’ experience in a legal environment, as the courses are very intense. Humber does not confirm the student’s eligibility.
Employment opportunities afforded by the Law Clerks program include law firms, corporate and governmental (municipal, provincial, federal) legal departments, legal departments of trust companies, and larger commercial and industrial firms.
These courses are especially appropriate for those currently employed as law clerks or experienced legal secretaries. A good command of the written English language is a definite asset.
Upon successful completion of the four courses, the Institute of Law Clerks will issue the certificate to the student.
