This is an ancient system of exercise that develops strength, flexibility and balance of body and mind. Relaxation and meditation for mental health, yogic postures or asanaa (in Sanskrit) for physical health and proper breathing (or pranayama) for obtaining energy will be the focus. Please bring your own Yoga mats and/or towel.




MS Word 2010

This course covers the basic features of Word 2010. After an introduction to Word&,#146,s screen elements, you will learn how to navigate documents, enter and edit text, create and save documents, and learn how to enhance their appearance. You will also create tables, insert headers, footers and graphics, as well as proof and print documents. Prerequisite: Personal Computers An Introduction or equivalent knowledge. Students enrolling in this course must have mouse and keyboard proficiency navigating the Windows environment

Typography

This course will cover creating and choosing fonts, sizes, and colors, incorporating text and illustrations, avoiding common mistakes in text usage and common rules. The course will look at the history of typography and students will learn about the anatomy behind the fonts. Emphasis will be placed on using the correct font for the correct application, readability and scalability. The course will teach students about using licensed fonts in their projects, how to create their own fonts and how to market that font to other graphic designers.
