Mobile Application Development

Programming for mobile devices requires knowledge of in a wide range of computer science topics including human-computer interaction, memory management, processing power, and communications technologies. This course explores video game development focusing on issues specific to mobile devices. Topics that will be addressed include user interfacing, hardware devices, telephony, GPS systems, notifications, and application frameworks for mobile devices. Students will develop using both simulators and actual mobile devices. Work will be done individually and in teams.

Visual Basic

This course introduces computer programming using the Visual BASIC programming language with object-oriented programming designs and principles. The Microsoft .NET framework is used to develop applications. Emphasis is placed on event-driven programming methods, including creating and manipulating objects, classes, and using object-oriented tools such as the class debugger. An introduction to databases and ASP .NET applications is also discussed.




Respiratory Care (Master Degree)

As a respiratory therapist, you will play a critical role in caring for patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies and abnormalities. This 3+2 agreement allows students to complete three years of course work at Lewis University before moving on to a two year program at Rush University, upon you will receive your Biology, B.S. from Lewis University and your Respiratory Care, M.S. from Rush University.

Radiography (Bachelor Degree)

Learn state-of-the-art radiation therapy in order to treat localized tumors while preserving regional function. Your first three years of classes are at Lewis University, with your fourth and final year of classes and clinical rotations administered at Northwestern Memorial Hospital (NMH), upon which you will receive your degree from Lewis.

Vascular Ultrasound Technology (Bachelor Degree)

As a vascular sonographer, you will use cutting-edge equipment to investigate major arteries and veins without intervention. Your first two years of coursework are at Lewis University, with your last two years at Rush University College of Health Science, upon which you will receive your degree from Rush University.

Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Bachelor Degree)

As a sonographer, you will use cutting-edge equipment to generate internal patient images using high-frequency sound waves - in order to diagnose conditions without intervention. Your first three years of classes are at Lewis University, with your last three semesters (as well as summer sessions) of classes and clinical rotations administered at Northwestern Memorial Hospital (NMH), upon which you will receive your degree from Lewis.
