The Financial Planning Board of Governors Certificate allows graduates upon successful completion of the program* to write the Financial Planning Examination Level One (PE1) that is administered by the Financial Planners Standards Council (FPSC) for the Certified Financial Planner(CFP) internationally recognized professional designation.

Accreditation also requires three years of practical experience, a capstone course (taken after the PE1 exam) and a Financial Planning Examination Level Two (PE2) exam (taken one year after the PE1 exam) to qualify for the CFP designation. Accreditation exams are scheduled twice each year.
