Some of our favourites are not far away at all ?Gippsland, Mt Baw Baw, Tali Kairn, Bryces Gorge, the coastal region of Wilsons Promontory and the Gippsland Lakes right up to Croajingalong National Park in East Gippsland. We also conduct walks in the north west region of Victoria in places such as Hattah and Little Desert National Park.

Wilderness Search and Rescue (Certificate)

This program is designed by experienced outdoor search and rescue leaders. Topics include selection, preparation, and procedures for search and rescue techniques. Classes will be held at a local conservation area.

Personal Escape: Trainer (Certificate)

Due to the critical nature of the application, a course is required on how to properly use the Personal Escape System. The Personal Escape System provides firefighters with a fast, reliable means of egress from a burning multi-story structure. A firefighter equipped with this system can quickly anchor the heat-resistant rope with a hook or carabiener anchoring device and move rapidly toward the exit point. When firefighters are properly trained to use the self-braking device it helps prevent a fall or loss of control of their rope. The Advanced Rescue Techniques School of Canada is providing an instructor level course for fire department Trainers with this five-day Trainer course on the proper usage of the system. Trainers will learn proper set up of their harness, rappel device, emergency anchoring techniques, and bail procedures under realistic conditions as well as instruction methods for teaching the equipment details and usage methods and techniques to other fire fighters. A must have program to aid in firefighter survival. Custom courses and dates available for groups and departments.
